All Angels Jazz Band is a Toronto Trad Jazz band which was formed when six musicians volunteered their time performing at the St. Micheal and All Angels Church's weekly food bank at the height of the pandemic.
The band plays in the tradition and sounds of 1930s New Orleans. They are influenced by the music of Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, and other early jazz legends. The band plays in full New Orleans style with Horn/Vocalists, Banjo, Upright
Bass and with the unique instrument, the Washboard!
They are bringing their swinging sound to the streets this summer, and will have you smiling and dancing!
The Alan Cohen Group has some of the best players in town with Bob
Brough on Sax, Steve Heathcote on Drums, Roger Williams on Bass, Eric St. Laurent on Guitar, and of course Alan on Keys!
They will be playing a mix of their favourite music…with an emphasis on Soul, Blues, R & B and Jazz!
Fronted by the always dynamic vocals of Tracey Gallant, the Alan Cohen Group will keep you movin’ and groovin’ to the music!
Adam Solomon JUNO award winner, Double T.A.M.A awards, Planet Africa Entertainment award winner, will perform on stage around 530pm with his band, delivering African rhythms, Benga beats of Kenya, and Mijikenda rhythms, including Reggae, and African classics.
